Happy NaNoWriMo2014 Day 3!
We had a nice weekend here, a little less busy – but not much.
Saturday morning was probably the most relaxing time of the weekend. After that, we had places to go and things to do – no one to see but each other, which was just fine with me (remember, I’m an INFJ!)
November 1st is our traditional “Harvest Party Day.” We play games in which the kids got to win candy prizes (we don’t do trick or treating, for a variety of reasons), and then we have a pizza party and watch A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving. The kids look forward to it every year. Mini-Me even wakes up every November 1st and says, “Happy Harvest Day!” as if it’s a “real” holiday. It cracks me up a little.
Sunday was an early morning for me, and I definitely wasn’t feeling that supposed extra hour of sleep. It was the second busy Sunday in a row, and Sunday is the one day a week that I’d really prefer NOT be busy. Ah, well, c’est la vie, and all that.
My main goal for this week is to meet my daily word count. Surprising, right? (Just kidding; it shouldn’t be.) As of right now, I’m on track to do that. But, as I know all too well, anything can happen to throw that off, and it only takes a single day to get the word count all out of whack.
My other goal is to reach a certain point in the story by Saturday. Obviously I can’t give that away here, but I’ll definitely keep you posted on whether I get there or not.
If you’re participating in NaNoWriMo and you haven’t added me as a writing buddy yet, please do! You can find my NaNo page here.
