Last week was a trying week on a personal level, and it doesn’t look like this week is shaping up to get any better. I’m thankful I have my family and my writing to keep my mind distracted from unpleasant thoughts, but sometimes nothing works 100%.

I’m about halfway through my Emma’s Story read-through, which turned out to be more editing than I anticipated. I’m glad though, because I was definitely feeling like it needed something, and through this editing, I believe I have found it. I hope to be done with the read-through AND the edits by the end of the week. That might be a lofty goal, but it’s my hope.
On the 30th, my KDP Select obligation ends, at which time I will be publishing Emma’s Story through Nook, Kobo, Google Books, and Smashwords (for those who are unfamiliar, Smashwords is a platform that does the publishing for you through various other e-book sources, including iBooks).
On August 1st, my next newsletter will come out, so if you haven’t signed up for it yet, please do! If you signed up but did not receive the July newsletter, please check your spam/junk box, and check your settings! You can help make sure you receive the newsletter in your inbox by adding my email address to your address book (email@example.com).
My book signing is less than two weeks away! If you’re local, I hope to see you there! I will have a sneak peek at the cover for Emma’s Story, as well as excerpts from the novel, and I will have both Kaedyn’s Story and Contemplations available for sale and signing! There will be some fun free stuff as well – you won’t want to miss it!
Speaking of Contemplations, swing on over to the blog of Kevin Bissett II to read some of his phenomenal poetry. He will publishing a couple of books in the near future as well. If you like poetry, you’ll be glad you did!
The Juvenile Fiction chapter book is still set to be published some time in August! I’m waiting with baited breath to hear what my beta readers have to say about it! I’ve heard back from one, who – not surprisingly to me – finished it a very short time. I also had two beta Moms snatch it up and read it before their kiddos – not fair, Moms (you know who you are!!!)! 😉
Business cards should be finished this week, and I also need to do some shopping this week to get the things I need for the signing.
I think that’s it for now. I miss doing my regular posts, but life in general is just taking a lot out of me right now. I am enjoying reading the blogs of those I follow though, even if I don’t always comment!
