It’s been a long day. Then I realize, it’s been a week of long days. I’m not sure what’s different this week to make it feel particularly long (my days are almost always “long”), but for some reason the days feel a little more stressful and harried and chaotic than usual.
I still have a number of drafts for posts that I need to work on, but lately, keeping up with the blogs I’m following is about all I can manage between grading addition and reading comprehension and state capitals worksheets, helping the Kindergartener learn how to print her letters and numbers, and constantly redirecting the 2 two year olds who just seem to want to kill each other right now. Oh yeah, and dealing with two dogs who also seem hell bent on killing each other. The amount of rain lately has not been good for the cabin fever levels around here these past couple of weeks.
God help me when November rolls around.
I’ll be out of own for the weekend, which will mean even less time for blogging, as I’ll be spending every waking moment with my grandparents. My grandfather’s health is deteriorating, and I needed to get out there to spend some time with him now, while I can. I don’t know what the future brings, and if there is an opportunity for more time in the future, it will be considered a gift and a blessing; but I couldn’t live with myself if I let this chance pass me by and it ended up being the last one I got.
When I get home, October will come in with a roar, and I’ll hope to set a good blogging and writing schedule for November so that I can (try to) keep up with everything. I already warned J.D. today that his homework load in October is going to be heavier, so that we both have more time for writing in November. He wasn’t sure he liked that idea, but I assure you that come November 5th, he’ll be grateful.
Well, the week is more than half over, and that’s something. Happy Wednesday!
