We got home Saturday from our first of two family trips this summer. This was our “relaxing” trip, where we visited with family that we haven’t seen in awhile, and just enjoyed a change of scenery and pace. Our trip to Colorado, later this summer, will be our “educational” and “sight-seeing” trip.
The first day home was spent relaxing before bull-dozing into the new week and routine. And also seeing my brand new baby niece :-). These first few days so far have been spent settling back into ordinary life. And doing laundry. Lots and lots of laundry. Thankfully, my great aunt let me do laundry while we were at her house, or there would be so much laundry to do now that I wouldn’t be caught up until our next trip. (Okay, not really, but it would feel like it!)
Other things I’ve accomplished or am working on:
- Finished editing Lily’s Story and handed it over to some Beta Readers. Enjoying a little break from that while I wait to hear from them.
Started a new juvenile fiction.
Mentally planning to start another juvenile fiction as a companion reader for To Have a Family
Mentally planning to pull out two YA MSs that have been started and could use some dusting off
Started reading some blogs in an effort to catch up a bit
Still working on some blog entries of my own, which for some reason just don’t want to be finished
Trying to finish setting up the store front on my website to sell my books directly.
Plus a mass amount of things around the house, mostly the usual stuff (need to get organized, tidy up clutter, et cetera, ad nauseum).
And now it’s time to run to the bank and then pick up Taco Tuesday fare.
