So as some of you know, I had a newsletter stint for a short time, and as fewer of you may have noticed, I dropped it a few months ago.  I got too busy with more important things, and the priority of keeping up with the newsletter quickly dwindled until I couldn’t justify even thinking about it anymore.  As my fellow writers know, the majority of our time and focus needs to be spent on our WIPs, and everything after that needs to be prioritized accordingly.

I decided that the items from the newsletter could easily be incorporated into my website and blog.

The highlight of my newsletter, and the idea that launched the project for me, was the “Featured Author” section, a portion of the newsletter that I dedicated to a fellow Indie Author, giving others a chance to get to know them.  I would like to continue this on my blog, because I feel very strongly about Indie Authors supporting and helping each other.

I’m going to start off the first round of this feature by posting the series of posts that I did on Charles Yallowitz and his first book in the Legends of Windemere series.  I haven’t decided exactly how I’m going to incorporate these into the blog schedule, but I’m sure I will figure it out as I go.  So keep your eyes peeled for the introduction to Charles and the subsequent posts, coming soon!  My next featured author after Charles will be S.K. Nicholls.  If you are interested in being a featured author on my website, please contact me! I would love to start lining authors up!

The other item from the newsletter that involves other people is the “Writer’s Words of Wisdom” section.  So if anyone is interested in being featured on my blog with a brief statement of advice for other writers, please contact me.  I would love to hear from any and all authors and writers (you don’t have to be published or even planning to publish; just someone who enjoys writing!)

The final element that I will be incorporating into my blog is the “secret/hidden” message element.  In the newsletter, this translated into hidden links to coupon codes or secret pages with excerpts from upcoming works.  I’ll give warnings that a hidden message is coming up, so watch for it :-).

Hope you all enjoy this extra content that is coming to my blog!

Happy Friday!
