Progress Report

Well, I’m basically finished with the cover for Emma’s Story.  Haven’t decided yet when the big reveal will be – probably closer to publication, in case I need to change anything.  But I can tell you that there will be a sneak peek at some point in a Newsletter.

Business cards are designed, and after looking over several different samples, I decided on one.  They are being printed up as we speak.  That’s one thing off my checklist of things I need for my book signing.  I still have a list of things I need to get before then.

I’m still waiting for the proof copies of our poetry book to arrive.  I’m kind of annoyed that they aren’t here yet; they shipped a week and a day ago, and they usually get here faster than that.

All but one of the juvenile chapter book are in the hands of their Beta readers.  Two moms even swiped their kids’ copies and read them first, which I found amusing to say the least!  I’m excited and a little nervous to find what the kids think!

We are having a lazy day here today.  I’ve had several late nights this week, coupled with terrible sleep, and last night a rude awakening by the crash of a picture falling off the wall, down the stairs, and shattering on the tile in the entryway.  Combine that with the fact that I’m still trying to figure out how to cope with our court outcome on Monday, and the result is a lazy day at home.  Oh yeah, and tomorrow I have a dentist appointment; still mentally preparing for that.

Happy Thursday.
