Post Schedule

I’m revamping my posting schedule just a tad and reposting it – mostly for myself, but also so my readers know what to expect each week.

I know it is unrealistic to expect myself to post every single day, but I am going to do my best to post as often as I can.  Personal daily prompts have really helped me stay on top of blogging in the midst of all my other busy-ness.

As it is now October, and November will be upon us before I can blink, I need to get a schedule in order for my blog.  I don’t want to abandon the blog for a month, but I also don’t want to spend a bunch of my novel writing time staring at the blank post page waiting for something to come to me.

I figure if I give myself a schedule, with a regular prompt in the form of a daily topic, that will help me stay on track.

Sunday – Weekend wrap-up, progress report, and weekly goals

MondayIndie Around the Web Music Monday – We shall see how this presents itself 🙂

Tuesday – Noteworthy Tuesday – Some issue or topic that I find noteworthy, interesting, and worth discussion.

Wednesday – Reblog Day (*Now to include Indie Around the Web)

ThursdayProgress Report Thoughtful Thursday – something that has been on my mind, maybe related to my current WIP, and maybe not.

Friday – “Flash Friday” – This might be a flash fiction, a flash poem, a quick thought or question, a news flash, or a flash of genius from one of my WIPs.

SaturdayBlog Break Day Stream of Consciousness Saturday

This doesn’t mean there won’t be other posts as the ideas strike me.  I’m just not going to sit in front of my computer trying to come up with a blog post when I could be working on my novels.  I’m still planning to try to keep up with everyone else’s blogs to the best of my ability; it just might take me a little more time than usual.

Do you have a blogging plan for November?

Glad to see your Stream of Consciousness Saturday plan.

Great idea! Looking forward to your schedule. I don’t have the stones to do it myself but love to see it in action. <3

I’m hoping I can get to it and stick to it! It’s been a rough week!

Great idea! I love being able to schedule posts on WP too. It really helps a lot.

I did NaNo last year and haven’t even read my novel yet. 😛 My best friend tells me it’s not bad for a first draft though. Haha. This year I’m going to be getting ready for my trip to Tokyo, December 6th. I’m afraid learning Japanese is going to take over everything else.
Apart from my Wednesday One-Liners, Friday Prompt and Stream of Consciousness Saturday, I’ve never had much of a schedule. I just write what comes to me. 😛 Even in November… somehow.

Well, I guess you have a good reason not to do NaNo this year!

I can’t seem to just write what comes to me very often. I may have to keep a post schedule even after November is over :-).

I’m doing my daily posting since I’m not changing my schedule until January. Just need to figure out a few weekly topics and I’ll be good to go. Interesting how more people are doing a single day of reblogs.

Since I have to reblog by pingback, it makes more sense for me to collect them and post them once a week. I don’t do a ton of reblogging anyway.

Good point. Though, watch out for the ones that are time sensitive. I’ve seen a few people post about sales and promotions that are already over when they wait too long.

Funny, as soon as I hit “Reply” I thought of that :-). For example, I am currently reblogging your Thunderclap post :-).

That would have been embarrassing if you did that tomorrow. I’m 6 away and hoping I limp to the finish line.

I wouldn’t have done it late. If I’d missed it, I would have felt bad for missing it; but I wouldn’t have done it late.

I really hope this doesn’t come down to 99 out of a 100. That would be cringe-worthy.

          • October 3, 2014 at 4:14 pm

            OMG, that would be AWFUL.
